Maharaj Nakorn Chiang Mai Hospital

Maharaj Nakorn Chiang Mai Hospital, also known locally as Suandok Hospital, is a premier university teaching hospital affiliated with the Faculty of Medicine, Chiang Mai University. Established in 1941, it stands as the first university hospital in Northern Thailand and the first outside Bangkok to offer super tertiary care. Strategically located in the heart of Chiang Mai, the hospital serves as a regional referral center for complex and rare medical conditions across 16 northern provinces. The hospital is renowned for its cutting-edge medical technology, robust academic infrastructure, and commitment to patient-centered care. With over 1,400 beds, 28 operating theatres, and 69 ICU beds, it supports high-volume, high-complexity procedures including open-heart surgeries, neurosurgical interventions, and renal transplants.
