Institute of Mental Health (IMH)

The Institute of Mental Health is Singapore’s only tertiary psychiatric and mental health hospital, providing comprehensive psychiatric, rehabilitative, and counseling services for children, adolescents, adults, and the elderly. Established in 1928 and located at Buangkok Green Medical Park, IMH is a 2,000-bed acute tertiary facility with 50 inpatient wards and seven specialist outpatient clinics. IMH delivers evidence-based care with a multidisciplinary approach, is at the forefront of psychiatric research and education, and was Asia’s first mental health institution to receive Joint Commission International (JCI) accreditation in 2005.
