Mount Alvernia Hospital is Singapore’s only not-for-profit general acute tertiary-care private hospital, founded by the Franciscan Missionaries of the Divine Motherhood (FMDM) and officially opened on 4 March 1961 with 60 beds. Today, it operates nearly 380 beds, supported by 331 on-site specialist doctors and over 1,415 accredited doctors.
