Chelsea and Westminster Hospital

Chelsea and Westminster Hospital is a hospital located in Chelsea, London. The Hospital was built in 1993 and is operated by Chelsea and Westminster Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. The Hospital runs a number of medical and surgical acute services, as well as outpatient facilities and a 24-hour A&E department. In addition to these services, which are primarily aimed at local residents and visitors, the hospital is a specialist tertiary referral centre for many services including HIV and Genitourinary Medicine, Burns and Bariatric Surgery. The Hospital has a 24-hour Accident and Emergency (A&E) department. The A&E entrance is to the right of the main hospital entrance and is clearly signposted. The Urgent Care Centre (UCC) is located within the A&E department. The Hospital is the largest specialist HIV unit in Europe. The department cares for more than 5,000 HIV patients annually and is widely recognised as an international centre of excellence in both the care of HIV-positive patients and a wide range of associated clinical research.
