Vajira Hospital

Founded in 1912 by King Rama VI, Vajira Hospital is one of Thailand’s oldest and most prestigious public hospitals. Operated by the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA), it serves as a teaching hospital affiliated with Navamindradhiraj University, Srinakharinwirot University, and Bangkokthonburi University. With a legacy of over a century, Vajira Hospital is renowned for its excellence in clinical services, medical education, and urban healthcare programs. Strategically located in the Dusit District of Bangkok, the hospital boasts a 900-bed capacity, state-of-the-art infrastructure, and a high patient turnover—serving over 700,000 outpatients and 30,000 inpatients annually.
