Dr. Zuzana Holubcová

Dr. Zuzana Holubcová is the internationally-recognized Head of Laboratory and Scientific Advisor at Reprofit International in Brno, Czech Republic. At the University of Cambridge, Dr. Holubcová made history by being the first person to both document and illustrate how human egg cells are susceptible to chromosomal errors; this revolutionary finding is now widely accepted to have created a new paradigm in understanding the root causes of age-related infertility. As a result of Dr. Holubcová's ability to connect the dots between high-level research and day-to-day clinical IVF practices, her findings continue to be used to optimize patient care through the application of cutting-edge scientific discoveries. As well as working clinically, Dr. Holubcová has an active academic career as an Assistant Professor at Masaryk University and is often invited to give Keynote Presentations at the most important international meetings (i.e., ESHRE and ASRM). Dr. Holubcová has also had numerous papers published in the best and most respected scientific journals (e.g., Science) and continues to focus her work on three main areas: oocyte quality, embryo development and optimizing the laboratory environment to increase the chances of a successful pregnancy. Through her commitment to the highest standards of analysis and ethics in all aspects of her research, Dr. Holubcová plays a key role in creating the technical excellence found within the Reprofit laboratory.
