Prof. Dr. Ahmet Turan Aydın

Prof. Dr. Ahmet Turan Aydın is a distinguished orthopedic and traumatology specialist with nearly five decades of experience. Born in Sivas, Turkey, in 1952, he completed his medical education at Ege University Faculty of Medicine in 1976. He pursued specialization in Orthopedics and Traumatology at the same institution, completing it in 1980. Prof. Aydın further enhanced his expertise through training at renowned international institutions, including the Institute of Rizzoli in Bologna, Italy, and the Nuffield Orthopaedic Center in Oxford, England. Throughout his career, he has held significant positions, such as the Head of the Orthopedics and Traumatology Department at Akdeniz University Faculty of Medicine. Currently, he serves as the Head of the Orthopedics and Traumatology Department at Memorial Antalya Hospital. Prof. Aydın's clinical interests encompass arthroscopic knee surgery, treatment of sports injuries, limb-sparing surgeries for extremity tumors, and the management of bone and soft tissue tumors. He is an active member of several professional organizations and has contributed extensively to scientific research in his field.
