Dr. Matthew Igbinigie

Dr. Matthew Igbinigie is a fellowship-trained orthopedic spine surgeon based in Atlanta, Georgia, with a specialist focus on advanced spinal disorders, minimally invasive surgical techniques, and conservative management of complex spine conditions. He is recognised for combining a high standard of surgical precision with a strong commitment to community medicine and medical education. ## Academic and training background ## Dr. Igbinigie completed his Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree at the University of Texas Medical Branch (UTMB) in Galveston, before undertaking his residency in Orthopedic Surgery at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center — one of the United States' leading academic medical institutions. He subsequently completed a fellowship in Spine Surgery at the University of Southern California (USC), equipping him with specialist expertise in complex spinal reconstruction and minimally invasive procedures. ## Clinical specialisation ## Dr. Igbinigie's practice centres on diagnosing and treating advanced spinal disorders using both conservative management strategies and minimally invasive surgical techniques. His goal in every case is to restore function, alleviate pain, and minimise recovery time. He treats patients with conditions including disc herniation, spinal stenosis, scoliosis, and degenerative spinal disease, and is experienced in managing cases where prior treatment has been unsuccessful. ## Beyond surgery: Dr. Iggy & Associates ## Outside of clinical practice, Dr. Igbinigie founded Dr. Iggy & Associates a platform dedicated to medical education, advocacy, and empowering underserved communities through mentorship and faith.
