Dr. L. Tomar is an orthopaedic surgeon with more than 30 years of experience. He is currently the Orthopedic & Joint Replacement Surgery Senior Director & Unit Head at Max Super Speciality Hospital in Patparganj, Delhi. He specializes in orthopaedics and joint replacement, with a focus on knee and hip replacement procedures. He has performed over 10,000 joint replacement surgeries since 1992. Dr. Tomar is highly skilled in both invasive and non-invasive orthopaedic operations. He is trained in the most recent techniques and technologies for joint replacement and can perform complex treatments in the fields of orthopaedics, primary arthroplasty, and revision arthroplasty. Dr. Tomar has special interests in complex and revision total knee replacements, complex trauma surgeries, arthroscopic ACL reconstructions, primary/complex/revision arthroscopy knee and shoulder surgeries, surgeries for spine disorders, disc/canal stenosis/fractures, primary/complex/revision total hip replacement, and arthroscopy/arthroscopic meniscus surgery. Dr. Tomar has received several awards and recognitions for his outstanding contributions to the field of orthopaedics, including the Global Healthcare Excellence Award for Best Joint Replacement Surgeon in Delhi & NCR (2013) and the Distinguished Service Award for outstanding contribution in the field of Orthopaedics, On Doctors Day by Indian Medical Association, IMA, New Delhi (2003 & 2009).
