William Shanahan

Dr William Shanahan graduated from Trinity College, Dublin in 1980. He first trained in general practice and gained experience in paediatrics, obstetrics and gynaecology, infectious diseases and medical microbiology. Dr Shanahan then specialised in psychiatry and in addictions and was appointed as a consultant in the NHS in 1992. He was Lead Clinician and Clinical Director of Addictions Directorate in the Central and North West London NHS Foundation Trust from 1995 until 2013 when he left NHS.
