Rodney Foale

Dr Rodney Foale, Consultant Cardiologist, works within the famous Harley Street Clinic. He is highly specialised in the treatment of all aspects of adult cardiology including arrhythmia, hypertension, and coronary artery disease. He is highly skilled in performing an angioplasty – opening blocked blood vessels with the placement of a stent. Dr Foale began his medical education in Australia, graduating from the University of Melbourne in 1971. He continued his training in Australia, training within St Vincent's Hospital in Melbourne before moving to work in India in the rural regions of Madras and Kashmir. He then moved to the UK where he undertook training in cardiology, he was later appointed Registrar at the National Heart Hospital. Following this, he spent time in America in the Massachusetts General Hospital before returning to the UK. He was then appointed to Consultant Cardiologist at St. Mary's Hospital in London, during this role he was also appointed Clinical Director of Surgery. Additionally, he is also the co-Director of the International Centre for Circulatory Health (ICCH) which is involved in cardiac research within St Mary's Hospital.
