About
Mr Richard Gullan, Consultant Neurosurgeon, currently works within the King's College Hospital NHS Trust and sees patients privately in clinics across London and Kent. He is also the most experienced surgeon in the London Neurosurgery Partnership, working to deliver the highest level of care for patients. Following Mr Gullan's training, he was given membership to the Royal College of Physicians and became a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons. Throughout his career, he has established a reputation for using the best evidence-based practices and performed the first use of posterior instrumented stabilisation for spinal cancer in the UK. He has also pioneered the use of intervertebral fusion cages for cervical disc surgery globally and established the use of posterior lumbar interbody fusion within the UK. Mr Gullan is also an active teacher, who regularly teaches techniques and clinical decision making.
