Dr. A B Govindaraj serves as a Director & Senior Consultant-Orthopedics at MGM Healthcare, Chennai. With over 30 years of experience in orthopedic surgery, including 8 years of surgical training abroad and 24 years of intensive surgical experience in India, he is a distinguished Orthopedic and Joint Replacement surgeon. He graduated with an MBBS degree from Madras University in 1980, and he earned his FRCS in 1985 from Glasgow, United Kingdom. Dr. Govindaraj AB has a comprehensive experience of over 35 years in Orthopaedics. After extensive orthopedic and joint replacement surgery training in the UK for 8 years, he returned to India in 1990 and has since performed over 10,000 surgeries, including more than 3,000 joint replacement surgeries. His specialization lies in joint replacement surgery, particularly bilateral knee replacement surgery. Proficient in various joint replacement procedures, including total knee replacement (unilateral and bi-lateral), shoulder replacement, and hip replacement. He has a special expertise in adult orthopedic surgeries and underwent specialized training in spine orthopedic surgery under Prof. Henry Hazm in Germany.
