Dr. Gaurav Kumar

Dr. Gaurav Kumar is a highly experienced pediatric cardiac surgeon with extensive expertise in treating complex congenital heart diseases. He completed his MBBS and MS from the Armed Forces Medical College, Pune, and holds a DNB in Cardiothoracic Surgery from the National Board of Examinations, New Delhi. He further specialized with a Fellowship in Pediatric Cardiac Surgery at the Mater Children's Hospital in Brisbane, Australia. Dr. Kumar has served in various prestigious roles, including Director at Fortis Escorts Heart Institute, New Delhi, and is currently a Senior Consultant at Indraprastha Apollo Hospitals, New Delhi. Throughout his illustrious career, Dr. Kumar has performed numerous intricate procedures such as arterial switch operations, double switch operations, total anomalous pulmonary venous connection repairs, arch repairs, ASD/VSD repairs, tetralogy of Fallot repairs, truncus arteriosus repairs, Rastelli operations, Cone repairs, and cardiac transplants. His contributions to pediatric cardiac surgery in the Indian Armed Forces earned him the Vishisht Seva Medal awarded by the President of India.
