Dr. Dinesh Kumar Mittal serves as the Director & HOD Cardio Thoracic Vascular Surgery at Fortis Shalimar Bagh, specializing in Cardiac Sciences, Paediatric CTVS (Cardiothoracic and Vascular Surgery), and Adult CTVS (Cardiothoracic and Vascular Surgery). With over 20 years of experience, Dr. Mittal has an impressive track record, having performed more than 5000 adult and paediatric cardiac surgeries. His expertise spans a wide range of procedures, including CABG on beating hearts and on-pump, Aortic valve and Mitral valve replacement, Mitral Valve Repairs, ASD closure, VSD closure, TOF correction, Coarctation repair, Blalock-Taussig shunt, complex congenital operations, Permanent Pacemaker implantation in children, and Peripheral vascular surgeries. Dr. Mittal is credited with establishing the Neonatal Cardiac Surgery Program at Max Hospital Shalimar Bagh. He is also an active participant in creating one of North India's most extensive and comprehensive AORTIC intervention programs. Dr. Mittal's educational background includes an MCh in Cardio Thoracic and Vascular Surgery from All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi in 2004, an MS in General Surgery from Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College, Ajmer in 1998, and an MBBS from Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College, Ajmer in 1994. Among his recognitions, he has served as an Investigator for the International Registry for Acute Aortic Dissection.
